Engagement Session – Jean & Elie

This engagement session was a BLAST!  We met up with Jean & Elie at the Henry Ford Estate in Dearborn.  Poor Elie, I think he was dreading this session a little bit.  For some guys, I think the idea of an engagement session is up there with getting a tooth pulled.  But our sessions are fun!  Formal, stuffy, posed portraits are NOT our thing, in case you couldn’t tell.  We are all about having fun and getting to know each other.  Enagement sessions are a great way to break the ice.  That’s why we include them in all our packages.

It turned out I was worried about nothing – Elie turned out to be hilarious and charming.  It’s funny how the guys I always am worried about end up being the biggest hams. 

Okay, seriously, how cute are they? This was SUCH a fun couple to shoot – usually it’s our job to keep our subjects laughing, but Elie did all the work for us.  At one point he started singing – that’s a West Park Photography first.  I get a tear in my eye just thinking about it. 

Can you tell this was a fun shoot? 

There were so many fun places to explore, and we were lucky to have the place pretty much to ourselves.

On the way to the Henry Ford Estate, Andy and I drove past this awesome field of sunflowers.  We coaxed Jean & Elie to going over there with us.  The sun was almost down at this point, but I think it was still worth the trip.

Jean & Elie’s wedding is next month and we can’t wait.  Did October fly by for everyone else?  This month has passed in a blink of an eye for me.
