We are so excited to share these images from our first wedding of the year! Valerie & Nick were married on May 2 at Saints Peter & Paul Church in Detroit. It was a beautiful spring day and Valerie was absolutely breathtaking!

Andy captured this quite moment of the groom right before the ceremony. I love this one!

We shared some images in our preview post of the emotional walk down the aisle, as well as my view of Valerie’s unveiling. I couldn’t resist throwing in a few more. Valerie’s dad was so sweet and emotional as he escorted her down the aisle.

When it was Valerie’s turn to recite her vows, her voice cracked with emotion – it was a beautifully endearing moment. The priest kept teasing everyone for crying.

Married!

After the ceremony, it was time to unleash some hotness at Mill Race Village in Northville.

How classic and beautiful is Valerie in this picture? Timeless.

After a fun little photo session in the park, the happy couple was whisked away to the Lafayette Grand for their reception.

I just have to reinterate that the limo ride was SO MUCH FUN. I am sure Valerie & Nick thought all I was getting were hilarious pictures of their wedding party – which I did get a TON of – but I also caught a few sweet moments between them when they thought no one was looking.
Now, as for the reception – AWESOME! Valerie’s brothers and dad got the crowd warmed up with a choreographed routine. It was so flippin’ hilarious/amazing/brilliant all rolled into one. Her brothers are so funny, and we have to give props to Dad for getting in on the action.

We were joined by Two Penny Productions as the videographers for this event. They were very cooperative and fun to work with, and I cannot wait to see their video from this dance sequence. I know it will be fantastic.

So, SO happy with this garter toss shot! Got it in mid-air! Whooo!

The DJ encouraged everyone, and I mean, everyone to come up on the dance floor and surround the couple after their first song. It was a great idea and we were able to get so many great shots during this song.

Okay everyone, please be kind about this one…..Andy and I had been on our feet for about 12 hours at this point. And I swear to god our heads really aren’t that big in person….we look like the Macy’s Parade balloons! LOL!
Valerie & Nick – THANK YOU so much for letting us celebrate your day with you. We had so much fun and it was SO hard choosing which images to put on the blog because we love so many of them.
The proofs will be up shortly, in the meantime, make sure you check out the video below!
We highly recommend heading over to vimeo.com and watching this in HD.
