Back in the middle of May, we hit the road and headed to Chicago to visit Amanda & Dave, who will be getting married this August in Michigan. We were thrilled when they asked us at our booking session if we’d be willing to travel to Chicago for their engagement session. It’s one of our favorite towns and we like to go there every chance we get. We lucked out with great weather had a wonderful time with them capturing some great images!
Amanda & Dave have a stylish condo in a fantastic location – their street has great curb appeal and is just a short walk from Lake Michigan. It was one of those gorgeous days where the sea and sky were an unbelievable shade of blue.
We just wandered pretty much aimlessly after leaving the waterfront, and we we lucked out with this:
I LOVE random grungy alleyways. Random grungy bums, not so much!
Being that we drove from Detroit from this session, we spent a good chunk of time taking photos – so I’m going to post some more pictures in a few days. Some of my most favorite favorites are still to come. BUT, I can’t end this post without paying homage to Amanda + Dave’s hilarious and adorable doggies. I can’t remember their names, but they were so awesome. Crazily rambunctious mini-dogs charm me. It’s so much different when you have that amount of energy wrapped in the body of a 72lb lab who thinks she fits on your lap. Also, I think this is the first session were we’ve actually incorporated the pets in the photo-taking, which is something we’ve wanted to do for awhile.
Say it with me now, Awwwwwwwwwwwwww! I love how concerned looking the little brown pinscher was. There will be a LOT more doggie pictures in our next post. Please check back!
Thank you Amanda & Dave for a great e-session and being troopers for the…what….3 hours we spent? We had a blast!
