This session was so much fun! We met Meredith & Mike up at Greenfield Village a few weeks ago. It’s a destination that holds a lot of significance for them as it was one of the first places they went when they started going out. We had to start at this house, with the Where We Began lettering on the transom window. When I came across this image while editing, I just had to play around with it a little. As I’ve mentioned before, adding texture to images is kind of in vogue right now. We don’t think every image necessarily needs it – but this one just cried out for it. I love the whole American Gothic feel it has.

Our next stop was the chapel, which was another significant place for Meredith + Mike – they considered getting married there, and Mike almost proposed there, but our Michigan winter kept him away! Andy decided to get a little funky with our ultrawide for this one.![]()

I’ve been kinda bragging all season that we have the most amazingly gorgeous couples this year, and I don’t know why it took me 3 images into this post to say it again, but how did we get so freaking lucky? Amazing eyes? Check. Perfect teeth? Check. Really, really, ridiculously good-looking? Check, check check!

Okay, I really love this one on the right, the look on Meredith’s face is entirely too cute. It looks like she’s about to bust into a musical number! Haha! And how adorable is the Owl Night Lunch car?

At the end of our session, Meredith asked us if we thought the merry-go-round would make for good pictures. Um, YES PLEASE!
Prepare for cuteness overload in 3…….2……1…..

Meredith & Mike – thanks so much for a FUN day! We are super excited to photograph your wedding this August. (Cool random fact – their church is in easy walking distance to our house – how rad is that?)
Also, in case you are wondering – we did a little spring cleaning to our site this evening. Our main splash page, has finally been updated, and we’ve added some of our more recent work to our portfolio site. We also did a little sprucing up to our blog design too. I think it’s a big improvement – hope you all like it!
