Michelle and Jason’s wedding was a delight. They are both easygoing and friendly people that immediately put you at ease. Their wedding day was full of warmth, excitement, and lots of laughter. Michelle positively glowed with happiness. They said their “I Dos” at the Pine Knob Mansion in Clarkston, MI. It’s one of our favorite venues to work at because the house and grounds are beautiful and have a wonderful character.
This is a pretty big blog post - so you may want to get comfortable!

These two shots perfectly sum up the difference between the ladies getting ready and the guys. The girls are made up, polished, poised and working it for the camera. The guys on the other hand? Just chillin’.

Michelle and Jason opted to do a First Look – which we always love when our couples do. They met just outside the mansion in the garden while their friends and family looked on at a distance.
FIRST LOOK!

These are the reactions we just don’t get when couples decide to meet at the altar instead. This is why I love and recommend doing a first look. How adorable are they?

I love everyone looking on in the background. Everyone was so excited for Michelle & Jason.

In honor of Jason’s heritage, the couple had a tea ceremony immediately following toasts. These are always a great opportunity for us to get candids of the guests.
After dinner, they brought the party outside, with their first dance on the patio. Hosting part of the reception outdoors really imparts a unique vibe to a wedding…it’s not too common here in Michigan, but I love when the weather cooperates and it’s an option.

Michelle & Jason – Thank you for giving us the opportunity to document your day! We enjoyed working with you and wish you both the best!
