Over the summer, we were invited to photograph a feature story and cover for Little Bit Magazine, a new venture by event designer Aisha Holly of Dooby Design. The October issue is out and I can finally blog some images from the session. (Be sure to head on over to Little Bit Magazine to see even more eye candy.) Styling by Aisha Holly, cakes by Sweet Heather Anne.
We had six wonderful, pint sized models:
Little Bit features stylish baby showers, children’s fashion trends, and one-of-a-kind birthday parties. For this photo shoot, Aisha created several looks, and custom cakes were created to reflect each theme. All the photos were shot in our new(ish) studio in Clawson, and a few of our new backdrops also helped inspire the looks.
Check out this amazing cake decorated to match the background motif. I’m impressed!
I must mention that because of scheduling issues, we didn’t start this photo shoot until the evening, and all the kids lived at least an hour away if not farther…and we had a LOT of set up to do, between having lots of groups to pose, outfit changes, and lots of background changes. I think the oldest child was around 5 years old – they were all INCREDIBLE troopers. But I have to especially point out how great Kimora was. She was so tired by the end of the evening and I know the last thing she wanted to do was take more pictures, but she’s a little model in the making. Our last look of the evening was inspired by Kate Spade, and even though it was probably 3 hours past her bedtime, Kimora rocked it out!
We had so much fun being a part of this, but I got to say, six kids at once is almost as much work as shooting a wedding!
