Looking for a wedding band in the Detroit area?
The excitement of live music really adds a great vibe and sense of spontaneity to your wedding reception. It’s a easy way to ramp up your celebration and delight your guests. Live music just adds an extra bit of flavor to your evening, and we love having the opportunity to photograph bands.
When we meet with clients to discuss their weddings, we are often asked for band recommendations and we always have a hard time remembering all the great bands we worked with on the spot, so I decided to compile a list of our favorite Detroit wedding bands that we have worked with. I pulled some reception images from the last year or so (and a few from weddings I still need to blog) and then did some backtracking to identify the musicians. Hopefully this will be a good resource for Detroit brides!

Ani specializes in classics, Top 40, disco, Motown, and hip-hop. They had all the guests on their feet at Valerie & KC’s wedding at the Detroit Athletic Club.

Chateau preformed at Sam & Elizabeth’s wedding at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. They have been picked as one of the Knot’s Best of Weddings for the last two years and offer a wide selection of musical styles.

Based in Windsor, Ontario, but available in Metro Detroit, we got to check out Eclipse at Elizabeth & Chris’s wedding at Penna’s, where they earned a rave review from the bride & groom.

These guys rocked Betsy & Danny’s wedding reception at the Detroit Athletic Club. They even brought Betsy & Danny up on stage at one point, and were kind enough to yield the stage to Betsy’s brother who did an impromptu performance to the extreme delight of his kids.

This band was also terrific and lit up the dancefloor at Stephanie & Anderson’s Detroit Athletic Club wedding.

Rumpelstiltskin preformed at Kristi & Andrew’s wedding reception at the Westin Book-Cadillac. They were fun & energetic….and a definite crowd-pleaser.

Here are few more bands that we have worked with, but I didn’t have images handy for them because they are archived.
Sun Messengers – these guys are amazing.
And finally, can anyone help me identify this band below?
